Stigmata is a song criticizing organized religion, specifically the Catholic faith. We were raised Catholic and even attended Catholic school for the majority of our grade school years. Having witnessed and read about many aspects wrong with the system, we decided to create this song.

Religion itself isn’t all bad and can actually offer some people hope and meaning to life, but this song expresses the dark side where evil people use religion to mask their true nature in order to control and manipulate innocent people.
