Planet Eater discusses the problems with our world leaders and corporate giants and shines a light on how they are linked. Politicians promise one thing but do another, while corporate greed shapes how the world works. People and the planet suffer as a result, so it's easy to have existential thoughts. This song expresses that ironic hope in the midst of despair that keeps us going in a world bent on self-destruction.
