about

Hex Weaver dissects the issue that many toxic chemicals, endocrine disruptors, and carcinogens are still allowed in our everyday products. This is especially an issue in the United States, whereas other countries have been more proactive in banning some of these harmful substances.

The average person might just assume all products are safe when used as directed, so they do not consider the long-term implications of being exposed. It also doesn’t help that these products are advertised as healthy. This ruse keeps people complacent.

For those who actively seek healthier products, they are often more expensive or require extra time, research, and effort. Thus, people who cannot afford the luxury of "green" products suffer as a result. This song also touches on the dangers of fast-paced modern consumerism and slaves who work for big factories without adequate compensation or rights worldwide.

lyrics

Open your mouth and forget
Our miracle poison
Cancerous substances
Fed to absorbing hominids
Carcinogenic bloodstream disrupting endocrine
Toxins feeding and leeching in
Inside the wilted placenta’s fetus skin
Broken record politicians plotting with ravenous businesses
On this rusty carousel of skeletons

We are insignificant
The world will go on without us
A universe of never-ending time
It won’t stop for us

Cyclopean brains
Have shrunken our eyes
Causing us to rot
Delusions of safety become complacency
Fed products of death and disease
Marketed safe, the things we need
Crushed by the corporate thumb
Tainted by the iron hand in a velvet glove

We are insignificant
The world will go on without us
A universe of never-ending time
It won’t stop for us

Human experiments shoveling dirt for their own graves
Among legions of corporate slaves
We’ve become monsters of materialism
We are dirty
We are unclean
Until we see we that we are
One transparent being breathing
